The Right are NOT Revolutionaries
But if the conservative movement wants to survive what's coming next, they'll need to learn
“Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable." - John F. Kennedy (March 13, 1962)
One thing I have realized about groups on the Right of the political spectrum is that they are law-abiding to the point of suicide. This largely comes from two aspects of their core identity:
1. The desire to be left alone
2. The drive towards individualism
In the first aspect, they assume so long as they follow the rules, then society will leave them and their families alone to make a living for themselves. The past few decades should clearly demonstrate this is not the case. Society is shaped by those who make the most noise, who push their demands the hardest, and who will not relent in the face of opposition: All things the conservative right is incapable and unwilling to do.
In the second aspect, the forces that shape and control our society are more easily able to divide the Right among themselves, pushing them towards internal squabbles that are meaningless in the face of the steady decay of our society. This in turn prevents them from unifying and coordinating efforts for collective self-defense in their self-interests.
To give an example of what we will soon face here in America, let’s look to our north once more, where all the donors for the Freedom Convoy have been thoroughly doxxed by the media and government actors, with their locations and names clearly mapped out for all to see. This is in addition to the push by that government to freeze all banking access to these same people, effectively cutting them off from society for daring to oppose their “benevolent” regime.
Now, if Congress were to pass a law requiring all gun owners to register and pay an annual tax for their weapons, how many on the Right do you think would refuse? How many would continue to refuse once their names and locations are made available publicly and their assets frozen and seized, their livelihoods terminated, and their lives and freedom threatened?
I’ll answer this with a question: How many Americans own machine guns or tanks?
I know the response from the Right to my hypothetical situation will be that such a tax and regulation is unconstitutional, but when has that ever stopped those who control our government and the puppets they’ve selected for us from trampling on our freedoms?
The simple fact is, most on the Right will concede to the new regulations, as they have all the other regulations and limitations before, and either surrender their weapons as the taxes will be too high to maintain them, or begrudgingly pay the higher taxes in order to keep the weapons they should have been using in defense of their liberties several decades ago.
The sad truth is, the Right are not and will never be revolutionaries - and the powers that control our nation know this and are counting on it always being the case.
Yes, we see some indication that there is some fire among the Right, for example pushing back against school boards seeking to impose Critical Race Theory and mask mandates on their kids.
And while this is important, what is needed is a wider and more general spirit of revolution against a government that does not represent us, our interests, or protect our freedoms.
The question remains, can the Right withstand the collective punishments the government has in store for us once we cease our submission?
